Hello

I started a post here but then a survey interrupted.
Now I can't find it.
Going to ED today.
I have had trouble walking for about a week or more. Didn't stop me.
Last few days have pain in legs and back.
Walking like a robot.
My greatest fear with this MAC and Osteoporosis was losing my ability to walk. No matter how much I staggered at least I was walking. The pain is also interfering with my AC.
Wish me luck.
If you pray. Please say a prayer.
Thanks

@sheila7a Thank you for letting us know what you have been going through to be able to keep in touch with you while you go through this.
I also have osteoporosis, -4 last test.
However, so far and hope not ever, I have not had a broken bone, etc., nor have I allowed myself to go on the recently suggested medications.
Since having BE and the MAI infection I have stuck with doing simple exercises and find that my tailbone does not bother me like it was before starting the exercise. Wish I had exercised daily long before the BE/MAI diagnosed. However, I hope i have helped myself with the -4 osteoporosis in the last couple of years.
It is so disappointing when health events change our daily lives.
We all hope you are having improvement with each day.

Hello.
In the hospital since Wednesday
I guess fractured my pelvis somehow.
Had an operation.
They put a long screw(?) in to stabilize pelvic area.
Using a walker and see PT and OT.
I didn't fall nothing like that.
Was out and about shopping, walking, driving.
I do have osteoporosis and worry about the coughing and trying to huff.
I will have to read up on the whole procedure on my chart, plus will see the resident doctors Monday.
Thanks for asking.

@sheila7a So sorry to hear about your pelvis. Sue had a great suggestion to talk to a respiratory therapist while you are in the hospital. Keeping you in prayer.
