Heart Rhythm Conditions – Welcome to the group
Welcome to the Heart Rhythm Conditions group on Mayo Clinic Connect.
Did you know that the average heart beats 100,000 times a day? Millions of people live with heart rhythm problems (heart arrhythmias) which occur when the electrical impulses that coordinate heartbeats don't work properly. Let's connect with each other; we can share stories and learn about coping with the challenges, and living well with abnormal heart rhythms. I invite you to follow the group. Simply click the +FOLLOW icon on the group landing page.
I'm Kanaaz (@kanaazpereira), and I'm the moderator of this group. When you post to this group, chances are you'll also be greeted by volunteer patient Mentors and fellow members. Learn more about Moderators and Mentors on Connect.
Let's chat. Why not start by introducing yourself?

You are so right, I am going to check with the pharmacist if he can recommend a doctor who will prescribe a natural thyroid supplement. My own doctor wont do that, he is an endocrinologist..
I did have my heart checked and it's fine, except for the extra beats
Hi, just curious on my end. Do you have an endocrinologist who is adjusting your thyroid medication? I would be wary of a family practice doctor adjusting your thyroid medication. Please disregard my concern if your meds are adjusted by an endocrinologist-that's their speciality. You might touch base with your pharmacist to see if you have medications that might cause the reaction you are experiencing. It may be nothing or it might be a timing of when you are taking your meds. Just some thoughts.

I know how you feel. Just had a 30 day event monitor, now also have a fib. High anxiety with this whole situation. I should be acclimated by now, have had them for a very long time
I have accented pvc s and skips with gas as well
Is this something new that has developed? If it is i think i would be checking in with my doctor. I have had heart beat irregularities for the last 45 years. I notice mine are getting worse the last couple of years. Iam having it checked out.
Hi, Great site, I am new here! my problem is that when I go to bed I have this fast beating heart and it makes me feel very hyper. I have a very easy life but this insomnia makes me very tired doing the day. I do not take any naps and I am on thyroid medication, that is getting adjusted all the time.
Thanks for the tip. Do you find that your heartbeat irregularity is worse if you have gas?
