Hi, I am wondering what type of magnesium is best for your heart. Anyone?

Actually K2 is supposed to make your blood the right consistency (for lack of a better word) Google Cleveland clinic ask the question about K2. The only thing is if you are on a blood thinner you shouldn’t take it according to the Cleveland clinic.

I was on Eliquis and my INR was through the roof. Drs didn’t care !! I requested Coumadin. It’s been working just fine , of course , I’m still getting finger sticks every two weeks, I’ve had AFIB and other arrhythmias for many years , going for the second ablation in October. I can’t wait !

Norma, INR is only an important diagnostic for coumadin and warfarin variations. It is not an appropriate diagnostic for NOAC (novel oral anti-coagulants), of which Eliquis is one example.

That is my understanding as well. Beware counteracting substances that we ingest because we read that any one of them is beneficial for X, but when they counteract what we take for Condition Y. It is why I don't take curcumin or turmeric, as great as they are for health, because I am on apixaban for life and must take 5mg BID along with pretty much anyone with a CHADS-VaSC score higher than 1.

I understand that but my bleeding and clotting time was always abnormal and I was taking the smallest dose . Full of bruising and bleeding at the slightest scratch , that’s why I wanted to be put on Coumadin . The RPh at the Coumadin Clinic showed me where my INR was over 6 when I stopped the Eliquis, she said it was that high bc of the Eliquis .
