Do you currently have a cardiovascular physician or a regenerative medicine doctor?

Amanda thank you for replying. I do have a cardiac team at Brighams and Woman's in Boston. They are great but I continuously seek out other options to avoid a transplant. I am currently stage 3-4 with borderline preserved EF. Vomax is about 20% and has been dropping. I suspect at my next visit in July my team may start discussing the transplant more. But they tell me I may still not be sick enough. I did try and call the consult service but that service is currently without staff and there is no one to speak to. They suggested i call back in May. Do you have any other resource to speak with? I did try to e-mail Paul (forget his last name) who is the program manager of the cardiac regeneration program but i have yet to hear back. Thanks again. I will continue to try and connect with someone.

Much of the work in cardiac regeneration is in the early phases of clinical trials - some in mice and a few have progressed to human trials. For heart failure (congestive heart failure), stem cell therapy is already a treatment option for patients with advanced heart failure due to heart attack. Now, new discoveries are underway to improve stem cells' regenerative therapeutic impact for many patients in need.

Colleen thank you sooo much for responding. Although I have no history of a heart attack I do have scaring. i am curios if based on that would i benefit from stem cell? i will make contact as you instructed and see where it goes. Trying to avoid a transplant and also trying to see if this disease can be treated and reversed sooner rather than waiting until I am "sick enough" for a transplant. its a grueling day-to-day battle just waiting. thank you
