What helps improve osteoporosis without medication?
Hello, did anyone here try to heal from osteoporosis away from all the prescribed medications we all know of? Did you try following a specific diet? Excercise? Meditation, etc. ? Thank you

@maryandnans -- I'm to start at local gym this week. Hooray!
I choose to not do any of the regular RX for osteoporosis-- but then I only have it in my left wrist.
has anyone tried Alage Cal plus ? and did it help
Wow! I also have a T9 fracture and mine was mind-numbingly painful when it first happened. You must be a superhero!
I've read on this site and others that BHRT can be effective and prescribed for people your age. Apparently, you just have to find the right provider who is on top of the research. I'm trying to compile a team myself.
Wishing you a Happy New Year!
@bearbayou that is great! I started my OP journey by joining BrickHouse bones on Facebook. From there I started doing her YouTube exercise programs, as well as PT. Finally I started with a personal trainer at the gym. Worth every penny.

3 Reactions@sunny2daytoday Your post said that it is too late for you to start HRT. That may be true, but it might be worth looking further if you were determined and have not yet done a really deep search. Below is a link to a discussion of HRT for older women that makes it sound maybe not impossible in your situation.
We can see from your post here that you are actively investigating. If I already had a compression fracture like you do, I would be further researching romosozumab (brand name Evenity) among the options.

2 Reactions@k7226 -- I have tried it, but only one bottle...my
sense is that it's worth exploring
even though it IS $$.
I'm ordering more.
I'm working with the doctors within Sutter's "Integrated Healing "-- They have helped me, with my other health challenges.. They are heart-based, super people who also happen to be MD's.

I am in the same boat at age 72
Curious about taking HRT too,
I am going to see an osteoporosis specialist in the next week or so. He is a supporter of low dosing testosterone and HRT, but I am not sure what he thinks about HRT for women our age. I will let you know. I am going to at least give the testosterone a try. Will update that too.

What a great video! Thank you.
I am seeing a specialist for osteoporosis in the next week or so and will definitely have this talk with him.
Other videos with this doctor you linked me to are very interesting as well. So much more to consider.
