What helps improve osteoporosis without medication?

Hello, did anyone here try to heal from osteoporosis away from all the prescribed medications we all know of? Did you try following a specific diet? Excercise? Meditation, etc. ? Thank you

Yes! That’s me. I was just about to take Evenity for my Osteoporosis of the spine but I chickened out for more than one reason. I’m 62 years old so I don’t have Medicare yet. Evenity was going to cost me $2300 a month ( my insurance will only pay $300) In addition to that, I have read about the side effects and I became so worried that I was no longer sleeping. I decided to hold off on the Evenity for now. I am going to OsteoStrong and also taking a low dose estrogen cream & progesterone. I also eat right, take my supplement and exercise daily. Hoping for some improvement on my Dexascan in November 🙏🙏🙏

Hi, I am contemplating getting on something for my osteoporosis. I'm read your comment and have been considering the estrogen/progesterone. I do exercise and take supplements, but can't start on any medication yet.

Did your Dexascan show some improvement or at least did it remain stable?

Thank you

@kathleen1314, Congratulations on your improved Dexa scores!
I've read a bit about strontium citrate and will ask my doc about it at my next visit. I've not heard of bioidentical hormones so could you elaborate a bit more or provide a good site for more info on that? Thank you for your post.

Sorry I just saw this. For some reason, I was never notified of this reply.
Bioidentical hormone information probably is best investigated with a call to your local compounding pharmacy to ask for the names of drs that use bioidentical hormones in your area. That way you have access to the tests and prescriptions that go with bioidentical hormones. I do have several posts on the inspire site that can be helpful if you go there.
