Have you had torso rigidity lessened or eliminated with DBS surgery?

I am currently being assessed for DBS surgery. The rigidity in my torso, which can be quite painful, is currently my most debilitating symptom. It presents as a steady tightening of my diaphram, the muscles around my lower rib cage, and in my mid-back. My micro motor skills are also lessened making it quite difficult to write or even stir a pot of soup, etc. I'm told that the rigidity most people experience is in their shoulders, arms, hips, and legs. Not so with me.
I do experience a lessening of fluidity but not rigidity in my limbs.
When my meds are OFF, my entire body can also feel heavy and I move slowly. My voice will often trail off when my C/L is low.
C/L CR is my only med.
I am grateful that I don't experience tremors and I have no balance issues.
My Question:
Have you had Rigidity in your Torso that was lessened or eliminated with DBS surgery?
