Has anyone tried golden milk for their long Covid?

Posted by naturalblondeone @naturalblondeone, Jul 19, 2023

I’ve been reading that golden milk has a lot of anti-inflammatory properties. Just wondering if anyone has tried it for the long Covid if so, please tell me your experience with it. Also if you have a good recipe.

by the way, check with your doctor regarding tumeric or ginger. Large doses can have some side effects, particularly if you are on blood thinners. I've been taking tumeric/pepper for years without problems, but I don't even take baby aspirin (no NSAIDs with microscopic colitis).

This stuff is awful! Burns my mouth and ruins taste of tea. I will try oatmeal.

I use tumeric because of MGUS. To make the curcumin in tumeric more bioavailable it should be mixed with a little black pepper. I add tumeric/pepper to stews, curries, rice, brownies, chocolate granola, and other things that mix with a peppery-ginger flavor. Tumeric is related to ginger and both have strong antiinflammatory properties.

I make a lot of Persian foods with turmeric. The food is so delicious and turmeric so good for us.

As krisb said it is just tumeric in milk. If you can't tolerate milk then just add it to any of your food. I add powdered tumeric to my bowl of oatmeal in the morning along with chia and flax and blueberries. I add it to soups, stirfrys and even to my tea. I drink Pacific brand Oat Milk along with my tea(green, rooibus, rooibus chai) and try to remember to add tumeric.

I am not fond of the taste so I try to hide it in the food. The best for me is in my bowl of oatmeal. I add about 1/2 tsp into my bowl. Just get it into your body so it can help.

@krisb, @annie, and @ anyone who is taking this and found improvement: What dosages are you taking? I do not like pepper/spicy/hot foods but will look at utilizing it in capsule form.

I've taken turmeric in capsule form with no issue, and it has really no flavor, maybe a cumin type taste. Not spicy. Warm liquid in ayurvedic is good for detoxing organs and cleansing the gut, and of course turmeric is for inflammation. I took it for a year no issues. I just like Quercetin for that now, instead. This product pictured is all in one. And I'm on Nattokinase.
