@kndaustin71 i have insomnia too. 2 yrs. nothing works great but ambien usually gives me 6 hrs of sleep at least. but makes me drowsy next day but atleast i do sleep some. going to try Ramelteon soon. looking for something that puts me to sleep and does not make me sleepy next day.

@lizjlb i use ambien. works pretty good. tried Ramelteon a couple of times, not as good as ambien but probably takes time. haven’t given it a good try but i did slept on it for some of the night. I looked up sleep meds with copd and ambien and Ramelteon are only 2 recommended. A lot of them should not be used with copd but some docs prescribe anyway.

I’ve used it for 18 months. Less sputum, easier breathing, and fewer flare ups. For me, it was an improvement over trelegy.

@tumanic did it work right away. i switched to it from Trelegy. its only been 1 month but think i breathed better on trelegy so far but wondered if it took a while

@kndaustin71 yeah i hardly sleep it’s terrible, every one says it’s the breztri the albuterol and im also on ohtuvayre. I’m going to ask my doctor about trazadone, did the doctor make you do the sleep study to be on it?

@suzyq61 trazadone is mostly for depression, can work for a while for sleep but mostly keeping you asleep not so much onset insomnia.

@lizjlb I had lots of sputum with trelegy wnd switching to breztri was a big relief. I noticed the change in the first 24 hours but as you know every COPD patient is different.

@lizjlb oh ok maybe I don’t want to take that, I’m always nervous trying new drugs when I’m on plenty, thank you for letting me know

I was just put on Breztri about a week ago. I've been on trelegy for years. I'm not sure it's better, I'm going to give it another week or two and make a decision.

I was on trilogy like two months didn’t seem to do much so I too am on breztri, it did help I felt the difference within a day or two, but now months later it doesn’t seem to last 12 hours, I’ve heard others claim same thing. I was put on ohtuvayre with the breztri and I felt fantastic, unfortunately my breathing is changing again, I’m getting a catscan in two weeks to see how my longs look then hopefully the doctor can put me on something else that will help. I think the breztri will work for you just give it some time . Hang in there your not alone in this breathless world ❤️
