Thank you for sharing, @gregsr. I know dialysis can be exhausting (physically and mentally), so I'd like to connect you with @nancyckd and @sotired who are both living with kidney disease. It helps to know that you're not going through this alone!
Gregsr, how long have you been living with kidney disease?

Hi @gregsr,
I see you are still seeking information on artificial kidney. Here is the link to Dr. David Humes' lab at University of Michigan as suggested by @mtmA2http://www.med.umich.edu/humes/ According to the site, the bioartificial kidney is not yet available for standard use and studies were suspended during phase IIb.

Hi @gregsr, welcome to Connect! I'm one of the community moderators here. I found a story about the Kidney Project, which is a team out of the University of California San Francisco. They've been able to create a prototype of a surgically implantable, artificial kidney! https://www.ucsf.edu/news/2015/11/165666/artificial-kidney-research-advances-through-ucsf-collaboration
Are you living with kidney disease?
Yes, on dialysis three days a week, "4" hrs. per-session.
