1 ReactionI hope for him it’s just from the surgery and things need to settle and will improve. If not you have to let oncologist know. Also as for diarrhea- my nutritionist helped me get bile acid absorbers (Welchol) which I take along with creon. I also read that the part of the duodenum that absorbs iron is cut out in whipple so need to make sure he’s not anemic. My nausea and other issues etc are plaguing me 5 yrs out.

I've had most of my treatments at Mayo Rochester and that included after surgery care. They were and are terrific.
Did you have your surgery done there and if so, aren't they already providing post-surgical care? And if not, you might still want to reach out to them. One of the benefits of being treated there is excellent coordination of care.
Good luck,
That’s what I need the coordination. I did not get my treatment there I was living in NYC and got it at Sloan Kettering. Great for the treatment. Not great at the aftercare and as I said the collateral damage from treatment has been extreme for me.Thanks for that information!
