Good news! Seizure free for six months now

Posted by frankv @frankv, Jan 8 1:42pm

Just want to share some encouraging news with the group. I was hospitalized in late June for four days with a significant seizure episode. I'm happy to report that I have been seizure free for six months now. I'm very grateful for my neurologist and the meds she has prescribed: lacosamide, 100 mg twice a day, and gabapentin, 300 mg three times a day. We don't know the root cause, and a recurrence is always possible, but so far so good.

@laura1961 tegretol CR 1100 mg/day.
But I also have brain surgery to remove damaged spot on the brain from 1 yr old high fever. So it isn’t the same procedure or treatment spoken of in this original
