Gentle cure radiation treatments for basal cell skin cancer
Hi, I’m in the process of having Gentle Cure low dose radiation treatments for my two basal cell skin cancers. They are both above my lip. Anyway, I had the first treatment yesterday and I have 19 more to go. I’m dealing with some effects from the radiation, headaches, dizziness and fatigue. Does anyone have any tips to combat this? I’m going to ask my radiologist if I can have a protective hat or cap for my session today. I have super anxiety, so it’s all really hard, but I can bring my favorite teddy bear! Yay!! Hang in there everyone and if anyone has done this treatment and have any helpful tips, I’d be so grateful! God bless!

I hav finished 21 days of gentle cure. My mouth is so dry. So far that is all. The radiation was beside. The front of my left ear. The radiologist said, it wasn't from radiation. But she put a lead shield from
My neck down. she says its superfical only skin deep and should Not cause any problem. I think it does affect diff people diff ways.
Sorry u r having problems.
A year ago I had Basal cell on the edge of one nostril. There were 30 radiation treatments so they were low dosage for a very short time. I had a mask which protected the surrounding tissue. I began to have fatigue after the 20th treatment. Other than that the edge of my nose feels a little like cooked meat, which I suppose it is.
Be sure to keep a good moisturizer on it all the time. I wish you well.
