Frequent PVCS

Posted by debraadell @debraadell, May 7 3:28pm

Has anyone experienced frequent PVCS for over 6 months. My PCP and Cardiologist are scratching their heads. I have normal electrolytes, tsh, magnesium level. Holter showed bigeminy and trigeminy but Cardiology feels like the overall burden is not high enough to treat. I have a baseline low heart rate 50s which makes treatment with a beta blocker impossible.
I had a normal echo 2023, repeat pending, and a normal nuclear Stress Test 2024.
I'm not under stress, we'll, take that back....these PVCs are driving me insane! I have been looking into any of my medications that could cause palpitations and have discontinued my amlodopine and Telmisartan. I'm currently on Valsartan 80mg bid with systolic running 150s and diastolic high 80s. I don't do caffeine and make sure I get adequate sleep. I'm exhausted with trying to figure this out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Debra

Vagus nerve stimulation-yes. You can watch a video or have a physicsl therapist teach you how to do it. PVCs in my instance can be cut in half in a few minutes. You can do this neck massage from each ear to throat anywhere without attraking attention.

In Oct 2024, I was started on Venoflaxine. It is one of the drugs given to wimpy males of the species to reduce hot flashes from hormone therapy. Shortly after, my blood pressure monitor stared showing heart irregularities; that is, a little shaky heart with a number associated, representing the incidents during the reading process. Also, my Apple watch wasn't happy. Instead of showing sinus rhythm it was reporting "Poor recording or inconclusive data". The watch heart traces looked like a lie detector test on a politician.

My PCP ordered an echo-cardiogram which showed PVCs and PACs. The echo traces were not comforting to look at. I have since worn a Holter monitor, but the results aren't back.

I am on many medications. My PCP gave me permission to drop Venaflaxine as it was my least important drug. After about 20 days, my PVCs and PACs have stopped, and my Apple watch is reporting sinus rhythm again.
