Low-grade fevers weeks after COVID: Is this common with long COVID?
I was hospitalized for COVID and home since 2/3. On 2/24 started to have low grade fevers in the evening. Tylenol takes care of the fever. I am on home oxygen still but improving. Mobility and strength is better. Important to note immunosuppression due to cancer therapy a year ago. Lymphocytes are still depleted. Is this common with long COVID?

No, no fevers post covid 19. 11 months now
This sounds dreadful. I’m coming up on five months since my positive result. I still have symptoms which include, but not limited to, constant headache and a fluctuating low-grade fever. (I should mention here that I have been tested previous to Covid for Sleep Apnoea and was told I have a mild case. I was also told at that time that using a CPAP probably wouldn’t help.) I have shortness of breath whenever I try to do anything. These 3 symptoms alone make me extremely tired. I get roughly 10 hours of sleep each night and still wake up tired with no energy. I’m a 57 yr old previously healthy female. I’ve even given up driving because of the unpredictable dizzy spells.
Yes I have exact same symptoms Low grade fever at times with chills…. Just wonder when or if they will be over.
Any Advise welcome....Had mild case of covid in November 2021 (9 months ago!) Every day 2:30-3:00pm I run a .5 - 1 degree of fever & get fatigued to the point of not being able to stay awake. "Dirty Ashtray" smell has returned. Dr said these were long term affects.....anyone have OTC beneficial advise?
I was shared there was still some post covid lung inflammation in part of my left lung even after 1.5 months. I have some phlegm and Daily fever 0.5-1 fever. Fatigue just knock me out when it’s +1. Started on a week of Dexamethasone since 3 days ago. Seems to help stabilising my fever for now BUT not certain will eliminate the remnant lung inflammation deep inside the lung so soon.
Praying for your recovery.
I tested positive with Covid 7/4/2022. Fever of 101 , sinus congestion, cough. Sick for 3 weeks. The 2nd and 3rd week I had low grade fever 99.0-99.6 along with extreme fatigue. Went to ER, got blood work and chest xray. Doc said lungs were clear but I probably had lung inflammation. I returned to normal after 5 weeks then started exercising, then 6th week strenuous exercise. After that my lungs started hurting, difficult talking, extreme fatigue and constant low grade fever, max 99.8. Gets worse upon mental or physical exertion. This went on for 2 weeks, contacted my PCP. He told me I probably overexerted myself. Scheduled a lung pulmonary function test for Oct 5th. In the meantime I'm struggling daily with fatigue, lung pain, and low grade fever. The only thing that helped I noticed was when I took vitamin c my temp would go down. So I started taking larger amounts spaced throughout the day and all my symptoms started improving. I also take a multivitamin and sublingual vitamin B12. I'm continuing with the vitamin C until my lung function test and we'll see how that goes.
To this day I will spike a fever of 99.0 to 99.5 every night since 2020. My normal temp is 97.5. It’s annoying and disruptive and no amount of Advil or Tylenol helps.
Hi, I have similar situation of depleted lymphocytes during this long covid period, having gone thru cancer therapy treatment late 2021. Still struggling to recover from what appears to be 2nd covid infection long covid after coming to 2.5 months. I’m on home Oxygen support. Anyone knows if this situation will improve, for I’m yet to see any. Help!
Hi! How is everyone doing? I got covid at the end of June this year and I'm still getting low grade fevers every day and its worse every night (especially if I overdo it) it's rarely normal and usually between 99 to 100.2. My stomach has also been burning above my belly button and my dysautonomia symptoms have been worse. The burning belly happened when I had covid and went away for about 2 months for the most part but I overdid it with ibuprofen and now it never stops burning. I have a GI doctor appointment on the 15th for that but all the doctors and nurses I've talked to about the low grade fever are pretty clueless and unhelpful. Most say it wouldn't be from covid so I'm relieved I found this thread. I'm sorry yall are dealing with it too. I'm a 29 yr old female with dysautonomia, hEDS and sleep apnea.
