@trots72 - There are a few ways to get Eliquis for free or at a deep discount, and doctors and pharmacists can get a no-restrictions, FREE one-month supply for patients who have NOT filled an Eliquis prescription before.

If your mother is on Medicaid, she'll qualify for the new discount negotiated by the Biden admin, initially, then further negotiated by the Trump admin post-tariffs:
Bristol Myers Squibb Announces Agreement with U.S. Government to Improve Affordability and Access to Critical Medicines for Americans

Bristol-Meyers-Squibb's Patient Assistance program is based on income and how much the patient spend out-of-pocket on Rx meds in the last year. They disqualify certain kinds of things (CPAP supplies, for example). What a Surprise.

Here’s where to apply:

And if she has no insurance at all, she will qualify for this Direct-to-Patient discount plan:

They might still offer discount cards so she'd pay only 20% or 30%. But those of us on Medicare or with Part D or supplemental plans do NOT qualify (those who have "commercial" insurance plans -- often free through their employers, do, so that riles me).

The out-of-pocket-spent for prescriptions plan is worth considering only early in the year, because it's hard to meet the 3% of income paid requirement otherwise.

Medicare now offers a 12-month payment plan:

There's also a Medicare Extra Help plan:
https://www.medicare.gov/basics/costs/help/drug-costs
Some mail-order companies, such as ExpressScripts, offer a 90-day payment plan so you can at least break up the payment for a 90-day Rx into 3 monthly payments.

FYI, LifeRx isn't listed among those verified by the Canadian International Pharmacy Association (CIPA). All guidance I've read says to ensure that any company we order from be verified by them as CIPAsafe:

@earther

Sorry that's all crammed together. I created it in a separate file and pasted it in, and it got reformatted when posted.

I don't recall exactly but it may have six weeks. Call and ask.
