Has anyone experienced acid reflux while taking Eliquis? If so were you able to manage it without taking medications PPIs

No, no symptoms from apixaban since starting it on doctor's prescription in Sept, 2017. Statins and metoprolol have both stunted me a bit, I believe, although my cardio says I cannot blame either for my lower energy. I'm thinkin' bravo sierra to that.

I just looked in google and GERD and reflux are not listed as possible side-effects. It's not to say you might not be the first to find that it affects you...YOU....that way or that you aren't legitimately concerned that it does.

I have a suggestion if you don't want to take a PPI. It's nasty, but it works. Often, reflux is due to an imprecise closure of the pyloric valve. It is supposed to sense stomach acid in quantity when and after you eat, and it closes to protect the esophagus. If you can stand to do it, swallow one full tbsp of apple cider vinegar. After you do the heebie-jeebies and 'the dance', it will start to induce the pyloric valve to close firmly. Or, so the reasoning went in the article I saw. As I said, I have resorted to this a few times in the past three/four years, and find that it merits about a B+ grade for efficacy. You lose nothing for trying, it might work, it's a new challenge in life, and it beats PPI swallowing. 😀

Oh, and go for a walk. Even if it's late, and if it's safe for you, go for a 30 minute walk. Nothing crazy, just a night-time stroll which will help to settle the stomach. Then, normal bedtime routine, and away you go.
