Dry mouth remedies
I have Sjogren's Syndrome that causes dry mouth. I have been using Biotene Oral Balance Dry Mouth Moisturizing Gel to help me sleep at night. I put 1/2" on my tongue and my saliva started to flow and it sting my throat when I swallowed it. May be the strong sweetness irritate my throat? Wonder if you have the same experience?
Also, any recommendation for products that you use that help your dry mouth will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

My speech is definitely affected. When I first get up in the morning no one can understand me. During the day I have to put focus on everything I say. Very frustrating.
My husband has a hearing bproblem,so imagine when i first get up and try to talk to him.
All I get from him is what did you say? I cant understand you
My rheumatologist prescribed pilocarpine. I take it only at bedtime, but you can take it three times a day.
I put a cough drop in my mouth and accidentally fell asleep. I woke up choking, could not stop coughing, gasping for breath. I thought it was my last night on earth. Now I never put anything in my mouth before sleep. Unless it's liquid.
I bought some, delivered already. They are refreshing but don't last long. I thought reasonably priced.
I agree, they are refreshing like you said, but they dont last long.
Im a little disappointed for the cost of the mints.
So far, Nikkomo mints are the only thing that works. And they don’t act like cough drops. They’re so small that you forget you have them in your mouth. Definitely worth the money.
There are dry mouth sprays that work somewhat! Walgreens has a generic brand and it is not expensive. I use before bed and if I wake up at night.
I'm in a nursing home and don't get to go shopping unfortunately. I will try to get one of my CNA's to check on this.
Right now I use Lemonhead candy. The lemon makes my mouth feel much better for a little while. Lemonade in the daytime helps break up the wax in my mouth. They just don't last long enough and are loaded with sugar. Hospice recommended both these.
