Does your Medicare cover Fasenra?
My pulmonary doctor suggested treatment with Fasenra for my eosinophilic asthma. I know there are programs to help with cost but they are designed for those without insurance. Have you been on Fasenra and had success in getting Medicare Part B coverage for injectables? I would like to know how much Medicare approved and covered 80% of that amount. My doctor's office assistant inquired about the first dose RX given in his office. He was told by Walgreen's Specialty Pharmacy that my cost would be $1800.
Seems outrageously high. Any experience you have had will be appreciated.

1 Reaction1.800.292.6363. Website later. It is on my laptop. AZandMe. It is Astrazeneca that makes it and airsupra inhaler is also theirs and free. Very hard to get accepted
You can call thr phone number. 24/7 service. They will have all the info. Will need computer and printer. Also your Pulmonology team will need to be involved. A few faxes back and forth. Text nd let me know how you do. A little work and maybe you can get it done. And yes 1800. Per injection every 8 weeks. Worked magic for me.

1 Reactionazandmeapp.com. Website has a lot of stuff too. Computer with printer. Find out the fax number to Pulmonology doc or pcp or who will prescribe it.
Thanks for your replies. We did fill out form at doctor office to apply for the Fasenra 360 Program. That form was faxed to Astra Zeneca but we were not eligible. There are income restrictions and enrollees cannot have other insurance besides Medicare or Medicaid.
You mentioned $1800 yes but in your other comment you said you got Fasenra free?
Have you had any side effects from these injections?
@noisylungs31 no side effects. It really helped my eosinifilic esophagitus. All my Phil's are now way low undectable. No problems with the injection. Possibly ask doc about airsupra inhaler? And see if you qualify. If you are as bad as I was the meds fixed a lot of my problems. No side effects at all. Inhaler works great also. I am still on it.

1 ReactionThe pan foundation had fasenra grants last year. I applied but never got the fasenra because my numbers were low. There are other places to apply. Check azandmeapp.com. last year they had a list. panfoundation.com. first come first served. There are a few places to look. Last year it filled up in a few days. Look now and see what they have available.
If you are interested i could private message you my enrollment email I just got. It has lots of info and links. It says the fund expires on 1.8.2026. They dont give you much time. Good luck
If you can receive the injection at the doctor’s office Medicare covers 80% of the cost and medigap the 20%.
Yes, that's how billing is supposed to work out when you get shot in doctor's office.
Seems like there's much misunderstanding about coverage. Confusion between "B" and "D"
Have you had any billing experience with this RX?
