Does fibromyalgia pain come and go?

My aches and pain come and go throughout the day. I can feel okay sitting down and after I get up to move around I start hurting again. I may also be fatigued. I may walk down the hall and back. Or just get up to wash dishes and clean counters. I sometimes feel better after I rest awhile and as long as I keep laying around. Does this happen to others with fibromyalgia?

With fibromyalgia, it is a learning process. Each person is different as to how much they pay they feel and when they feel it and so.
I’ve had it for around 40 years and it does weigh some days really bad other days not bad. I do feel it has to do with the weather.
The most important thing is to educate yourself. No one person is the same. What works for you may not work for me.
But I do feel moving a walk or some exercise where you do a little tai chi or moving.

Yes. Fibromyalgia pain often fluctuates throughout the day, with many people feeling relatively okay at rest but experiencing increased aches, stiffness, and fatigue after even light activity (like walking or chores), then improving again after resting due to heightened pain sensitivity and low energy tolerance.

Yes that is exactly how I felt for a long time. Spent more time resting with heating pad throughout the day after minimal movement. Tired early in the day too. HOWEVER recently I’ve had a pretty major change since taking 6 mg LDN. I have less pain and definitely more energy or/and desire to do things because I don’t have so much pain. I’m assuming it’s the 6mg LDN (had gone up to 4.5mg), and this change coincided with the change to 6mg LDN.

Works for some people with fibromyalgia. Usually you have to find a doctor that will prescribe it and send the prescription to a compounding pharmacy. @jeannesf1 LDN has helped me tremendously reducing pain and fixing my terrible insomnia. I take 4.5mg a day before breakfast. I got my prescription from a doctor at a pain clinic, but have since learned my PCP will prescribe it. I've written about it often under this support group.

@jeannesf1 LDN has helped me tremendously reducing pain and fixing my terrible insomnia. I take 4.5mg a day before breakfast. I got my prescription from a doctor at a pain clinic, but have since learned my PCP will prescribe it. I've written about it often under this support group.

@daisy17 yes! You are so knowledgeable. I really appreciate it. Thank you. I take LDN at night. I am going to try it in the morning to see how it affects the insomnia. I take magnesium glycinate right now. And it helps for a few hours and I could definitely use more sleep.

@jeannesf1 My pharmacist told me to take the LDN in the morning due to my sleeping issues. I also take 200-250mg magnesium glycinate before bed, along with 2 mg melatonin.

I find that I have spells where the pain is present all the time and then it seems to calm down for a period of time. I do find that doing stretching exercises and walking helps a lot. If I have not been doing my exercises then I am more likely to have a bad spell come on. Before I found out what the problem was I had thought it was arthritis so I was not doing exercises. I often felt like the Pillsbury Doughboy that ached! Anyway, gentle exercise helps a lot.
