Thanks, rashida. Gabapentin and I don’t get along well at all. But my 65# poodle loves it!

@taosmary medications are so “body specific” - what works for one, does nothing for another. I have fibromyalgia and am in pain 24/7/365 but Gabapentin has been prescribed specifically for my itching and that is what it has worked for. Hasn’t decreased my body pain, yet others are taking it specifically for pain. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had oral lichen planus and itching for many years. When I was diagnosed with celiac disease 7 years ago and stopped eating gluten, my oral lichen planus and itching went away. My dentist confirmed that it was gone.

@lindaadel yes, I have oral lichen planus and terrible itching. While Lyderm gel (Fluocinonide) does help with the oral lichen planus, I have yet to find something to relieve my itching.

@lindaadel I’m not aware of itching with lichen planus, but this information from the Mayo Clinic talks about it.

I hope some of the other members will chime in soon and help you with their experiences. Were you just recently diagnosed? What is your treatment?

@bebold Fluocinonide is the generic name for Lyderm. It comes in cream and gel form, and it is the gel that I use for my local lichen planus.
