Pericarditis/Constrictive Pericarditis

Hello, I would like to learn if anyone here has or had Constrictive Pericarditis. What are the treatments, which doctor in Mayo clinic you recommend?

My husband has been diagnosed with pericardial constrictions due to a calcified pericardium. We are in SW FL but have been told by several cardiologist and a cardio thoracic surgeon Mayo is our answer. My husband is not yet 64 and very healthy otherwise. Our appointment is not until December 16th. His quality of life is poor right now due to low heart function. Any suggestions on how to expedite our appointment. Thanks.

Did you ask about your options for being called if there is a cancellation?
