Complex Abdominal Aorta Aneurysm Vascular Surgeons are in Northern CA
I am a 79-year-old woman in CA with a 5.8 cm Complex Abdominal Aorta Aneurysm. I am married and have a son and daughter-in-law, but I feel like I don't have the support I need to get through this. After my son and daughter-in-law found out the urgency of surgery, they packed up and moved to Iowa. My husband is a loving man but doesn't know how to show support. My BP is all over the place, and I feel like I am all alone and fear that I will not survive the stint graft surgery, and if I do, my kidneys will be damaged. I have a thoracic aortic aneurysm since 2021. When I moved to Northern California from WI I was able to find Dr. David Maron at Stanford. I know that may be outside of Kiaser health but he's great and has kept me on a plan where my aneurysm has held at 4 cm for the las 5 years. He also does research for Bayer. Hope that helps.
@sdilweg Thank you.
@sdilweg Your Dr is a Cardiologist; I'm thinking the type of surgeon depends on where the aneurysm is located. Mine is Abdominal AA. Your thoughts?
