Cleaning nebulizer/aerobika
After some thought and prayer about a compromise in daily routine of cleaning and sterilizing with what risk tolerance (or honestly lack of it) I have here's what I've decided to do as a routine. Any thoughts? And to note I DON'T have MAC or other bacterial infections I'm fighting.
AND any thoughts on boiling more than one set together (obviously then can't keep separate to know how long each is being used).
.
Here it goes:
1) 1st day after am use - wash and soak and rinse then put in Bololo with auto sterilize/dry with boiled distilled water.
2) after pm use - same thing
3) 2nd day - am use - wash and soak and rinse then put in Bololo with sterilize/dry with boiled distilled water.
4) 2nd day pm use - wash and soak and rinse and then take the sterilized set out of the Bololo and boil both sets with IP in distilled water.
And when done because I have the wabi mini uv cabinet, I will add both sets to the uv cabinet
5) 3rd day start process all over again ...
So basically wash and soak and rinse each session, sterilize/dry day one and am of day 2;
And after end of day 2 wash soak rinse and boil both sets and put in uv cabinet
At least this way sterilized each day in Bololo; boiled every other day and still getting double use by putting in uv cabinet which can sterilize and dry and can uv every 3 hours for 9 hours so gets the benefit of overnight
.
It's still overkill by manufacturer recommendations, but not as extreme as boiling after each use OR using the pressure cook cycle on IP.
Thank you everyone for your ongoing support. 🙏❤️

Perfect!!
@sueinmn I have a Safe Water Products kitchen sink filter on my faucet. This filters out MAC bacteria so I feel comfortable using the water for anything including cleaning in the kitchen, washing fruits and vegetables, etc. knowing that it is MAC free water. I also clean my dishcloths, sink racks, etc. in the dishwasher on sterilize. The kitchen sink faucet filter can be purchased on Amazon. It's called the Legionela Faucet Filter Faucet Mount Water Filtration System, Tap Water Filter, Lab Tested & Certified - Log 7 Reduction. The cost is reasonable in my opinion for the peace of mind. It was very easy to attach to my faucet.

3 Reactions@linda1334 Do you have to buy an adapter if it contains a pull out strayer with in the faucet? Also do you need a plumber ? Thanks.
@melinda561 I'm not sure how/if it would work with a pull out sprayer. You can go to safewaterproducts.com and check their site for products and you can contact them to ask. They're very helpful. I have a faucet without a sprayer so I just unscrewed the aerator and didn't even need the adapters they provided. I was able to screw in the filter directly to the faucet.

1 Reaction@linda1334 Thank you, I’ll call them.
I have two neb cups. Wash and soak in soapy water 15 min shaking several times to dislodge gunk, rinse, dry. Next day same thing with the other. Then put both in a microwave steamer bag with recommended amount of water, steam for 5 min, remove and dry.

1 Reaction@scoop agree. I learned a lot and enough to really ask deep questions worth discussing but that was "no-good" and eventually got banned and blocked as they do not exist in my search anymore 🤪 a lot less anxiety and fear now with the right support from the this group, connect.ntfinfo.org and be-clear site.

3 ReactionsI wash all my equipment in hot soapy water but do not soak because I never see anything like bits and pieces of stuff on my equipment. I rinse with the hottest tap water and then put in my Philp's Baby Bottle Sterilizer and steam. So far no infections, works great, never miss washing, rinsing and steaming. I don't understand what the soak would do if there is nothing there to soak off.

2 Reactions@picartist soaking in Dawn which contains a surfactant breaks down microscopic biofilms on NTM. Biofilms are what make NTM so difficult to eradicate.
