Camzyos, anxious/upset, return of symptoms...?

I'm taking Camzyos. I've noticed that the symptoms of the obstruction like shortness of breath and chest pressure/pain return despite the Camzyos when I get anxious or upset about something that would not have given me these symptoms when I was much younger and healthy.

The same thing happens to me so since I am 65 years old, I try to relax and put music I like then all goes away. I know I do not have left that many years of life so it is not worth to get upset for any reason at all. That way my angina is not back at all and I feel healthier.

I can also relate. On 5 mg Camzyos and symptoms are generally not noticeable. However, if I am upset/stressed about something (I tend to internalize my stress), then I experience shortness of breath and chest pressure. So I try very hard to remain calm, let go of things I can't control and if I find I'm still stressing, I find it helpful to verbalize whatever it is I'm holding in/stressing about.

Whether we have HCM or not we need to live each day to the fullest. I was recently diagnosed and it threw me for a loop, but God has reminded me that He has me and underneath are His everlasting arms.
So I encourage you to seek Him and the truth of His Word.
May you find comfort and peace.

is anyone having hot flashes with Camzyos? Dr increased me to 5 mg and I am experiencing sweating and bad hot flashes - which hasn't happened in 15 years. I also had a lengthy episode of tachycardia - 1st one in over a year.
Dr told me to stop taking the medication for 3-5 days. My last echo showed marked improvement so I am not happy

Due to the potential side effects, I would ask a second opinion from another Cardiologist that is "Camzyos Certified Doctor" and see what he says. This will give you peace of mind that you are still keeping your improvements.

I was of the understanding that a Dr had to be a part of Bristol Myers Squibb REMS program in order to prescribe Camzyos. This medication is very highly regulated and can only be dispensed from an approved Specialty Pharmacy that must also be on the REMS program.

Yes , I also am getting hot flashes and I am 73 years old. Thought that was over with. But I have been on Camzyos now for over a year. I also get anxious and then trouble breathing. I have learned to sit down when that happens and it goes away. I feel like I am much better . That the Camzyos is working but not perfect. Would I go off, no! It helps to keep me going. Take one day at a time. That’s my motto most of the time. Enjoy the time while you have it.

I am still experiencing hot flashes, but not as severe. So maybe there is no connection. I will restart Camzyos tomorrow and see the dr on Monday.
