Hi
I’ve posted before. Since biliary complications are so prevalent I am curious why there are not more folks discussing this.
I now have had 10 ercps. Twice my stent has been removed (stricture resolved) only to have the stricture come back. The first time I lasted 3 weeks and this time 8 weeks before complications set in.

I’d really appreciate hearing from others who have been through this - especially those who decided to do the revision ( Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy) and how it turned out.

Thanks in advance.

Hi brin. I commented on your thread last June. My issues not as bad as yours but for what it is worth. Still at 3 stent procedures, angioplasty , etc. etc.. At my two year a few months back they said my stenosis was worsening again and Mayo had a "conference" on me. And instead of me going back down to AZ again for more warranty work they decided to do genetic testing on me. They found I was a genetic mismatch for the Plavix I was on. Took me off the Plavix and Eliquis , kept me on the aspirin. And added Brilinta. They are going with that for now and we will see. Best of luck with your issues

@brin Hi I am 7 years out from my transplant. I ended up back in the Hosptial three weeks after to have the stents/ercp procedure. I had a total of four procedures each four weeks apart. At the end one of the stents had passed through ( i saw it after going to the bathroom. The other one did not pass so I had to go in to have it removed. My first Ercp i was in the hospital with a fever from the blocked bile duct - I also developed c-diff after my transplant . I am happy to say that never came back. I have not had any issues after the first year as far as my bile ducts. I don’t even like to complain but my most irritating issue the last few years is my scar near my breasts itches so bad after a shower. Best to you it does get better
