Benign carcinoid tumor in bronchi tube
Hi I've been diagnosed with a benign typical carcinoid tumor in my bronchi tube in right lung was found when I went to A&E with pneumonia back in July of this year I've had 2 bronchoscopys 2 biopys which showed benign carcinoid tumor I was sent for ct scan mri scan and pet scan pet scan was clear I was put under general anesthetic as my lung specialist said he might be able to remove tumor by going down my throat instead of haven surgery but didn't work but he was able to take 40% of tumor out as it was blocking my air way that's how pneumonia set in the 40% he removed also came back benign carcinoid 1 lymph node was removed and checked also clear now I need surgery to remove the rest I'm so confused as doctor said its a benign tumor then Google is telling me it's a low grade cancerous tumor but doctor nor lung specialist said anything about cancer just said its benign doesnt benign mean non cancerous and can any one tell me how surgery went thank you bless you all xx

1 ReactionOh Jessie. I will pray, pray for you. I know it is difficult not to be worried. You have had so many health issues. What time is the surgery? Did you get all of your questions answered? 💕

1 ReactionI'm happy they are keeping you a week. They released me the afternoon next day after surgery. I was so disappointed. That was not what the doctor had told me would happen. I know you are still scared, anxious and all the above. But Jess, yiu have already been through ALOT. You are going to get through this too. I'll continue to pray for peace and a really good outcome. You are almost over this part ❣️

So glad you have a surgery date. Prayers from me as well. You’re going to do great. It will be so good to have that tumor out of there, start regaining your health and get on with your life. You’re strong and you can do this. 🙏🏻

2 Reactions@jessie1990 I know I don't really "know" you, but it feels like I do. For all that you have been through already, and as much as you have shared in here, you actually have had (it seems) a pretty upbeat attitude. As the weeks have gone by, I have felt your anxiety, but heck, having to wait as long as you have would do anybody in. I'm proud of you, and I've never even met you. 😊 And you are very welcome.

1 Reaction@jessie1990 If you weren't nervous, you wouldn't be normal. It's ok to be nervous. Use that nervous energy to think about how happy you will feel when it is done. You will be able to get healthy again. Think about the joy of spending time with your family worry free. Believing in good outcomes helps make them happen. Now, go make good things happen. You deserve them.
