Arm pain at night?
I had an Abbott Pacemaker implanted in September, 2025 for bradycardia. Although everything is healed and it's operating well, a have sharp pain in my deltoid muscle (left arm) awakens me every night. When I sit up, and then get up for the day, it goes away, but it's very annoying, and deprives me of much needed sleep. Anyone else experiencing this?

@susiewordsmith Have you told your electrophysiologist? It's quite possible the position of the device presses on a nerve when you are in a certain position. We creatures of habit have individual favorite sleeping positions and it's difficult to change them. I hope other readers who have experienced your situation will comment and report successful ways they overcame their discomfort.
Thanks so much for your feedback! I plan to discuss with the nurse at my Device Lab, or with my electrocardiological surgeon (who's a very approachable woman!!!)...but I was wondering whether anyone else in the Mayo group had had similar experience.
