Same here. I found a capsule with only lutein and have had no side effects
I’ve been on Areds for years and have not experienced any side effects. I’m guessing the remdesivir or vaccines are the culprit. The mortality rates in the US sky rocketed during Covid and Covid was only part of the story. You can read about what insurance companies reported as far as the numbers. Of course, much has been not reported by Big Pharma.?

1 ReactionAm I correct in understanding your post to say that you think the COVID vaccines and treatments have caused a reaction to Preservision AREDS?
If that’s what you are saying, then I would disprove your theory. My reaction to AREDS started before COVID (although I did not know the cause at the time), and I didn’t have any of the vaccines or the remdesiver.

1 ReactionI have AMD in both eyes. I've been taking AREDS2 after breakfast and after dinner. Recently, I read somewhere that it is a good practice to take AREDS2 after eating two or three bites of food instead of waiting til after a meal. Which is better?

It's the zinc oxide that causes the problem. The dose is too high and it is a cheap form of oxide which is hard to digest.

2 ReactionsI had to stop all my other vitamins because of stomach issues. Since I did that my stomach issues have stopped but now I have very sensitive skin around my eyes that I didn't have before taking Areds2. I don't know if this is from the Areds2 or if my skin is just getting more sensitive. I use a moisturizer and when I put it on I have a burning feling around my eyes.
I took my first dose of AREDS2 and experienced vertigo as well, the next morning. The evening of my first dose I felt like I was coming down with a fever. Chills but no fever but did have a lot of trouble sleeping, strange dreams. It was the only addition to my regular drug regimen. I’ll contact my ophthalmologist to discuss another option.
My eye doctor is unconvinced that the vitamins do any good.

1 ReactionI took the ared2 for years with no improvement. Read that olive oil is good and castor oil on eyelids helps with vision and floaters. I’ve also been told by my optho guy that melatonin is excellent for macular degeneration; I’m following his advice now and I’ll see what happens. Good luck everyone!
