Someone mentioned pain association, I’ve never heard of that group.
That’s why I didn’t keep it. I figured that I would go throughthe same problems you did!
@twokitties Hello twokitties my name is briansr..I saw your post and wish you all the luck on your surgery. Ive had 8 low back and cervical surgeries, all were a have to. The first two were lumbar L4-S1, I couldn’t walk. You might need some help when you get home. I am done, everyone I’ve had has caused the disc above or below to crumble. This has been a 33yr battle and they want to another one. I’m sure yours will go fine. I asked my dr what was wrong with me and he just said I was messed up. I will say a prayer for a speedy recoverj and no more leg pain. briansr

Thank you. I think my problems are just me, like the doctor said, your just messed up. I’m still looking for a name for my condition.briansr
Hello ladyjane85. After reading the many posts of multiple surgeries & decades of pain, my situation sounds minor indeed but these posts are also quite frightening. What if my surgery doesn’t help also or only leads to more pain & less hope! Must stop over thinking & stay positive.
Most people walk right out after surgery, I’m just stuck with badgenes. briansr
@briansr You aren’t the only one that has one day surgery whom the drsays you are being kept overnight. Some of us have bodies that do not deal with anesthetics and meds well. I guess weare the delicate people…… ladyjane85
@ladyjane85 Keep a positive attitude and all will be well surgery helps most people. 19lin
19lin Thank you, but I have had 5 back surgeries, pain for 30 years, cannot take meds. I have an apartment in an Independent living facility, sohousework is done for me, and meals are down in the dining room. The restof the time I am on the bed in a half recline. Drs do not know what else todo, but I am going to try another nerve block procedure – he says if he canfind a place to put in the needle because of all the hardware in thelumbar. Now the compression disc fractures have gone up much higher in myback and more painful because the spasms go around the body to the front. Imake my bed and make it beautiful, and dress to where everyone admires myclothing ( I did model). All this hurts while performing these physicaltasks but when you look better, it makes you feel better…..ladyjane85
two kitties Many people are healed with one surgery, and things do notdeteriorate further. So head up, after a brief recuperation and learningsome back exercises in PT I wish you many years of a happy existence.ladyjane85
Hi two kittens, well I have been fighting with leg and hip pain for over a year. After 8 weeks of PT I have Spinal Stenosis, which has led to Degenerative Disc Disease. No operation suggested. Hope this helps. Shay.
Thank you, and God bless all people in pain, physical and or mental, young
We all have our own pain. If anyone ever says they hurt worse than you, ask them, how do you know. Everyone seems to own their own pain, I’ll never know how you feel, and you’ll never know how I feel, tell them it’s not a contest. briansr
Yes,I know.We all have our own pain.
It’s just my bad genes, after 8 surgeries I’m done had enough. And they want me to do another one, no way. I’ve had enough. briansr
Has anyone said this to you. I think everyone’s pain is different. There’sdifferent kinds of pain too. I don’t understand why people say such things.I get a type of panicy response when someone thinks I’m find and disregardsmy pain and expects me to do something. This does happen anymore but Istill remember how that felt. You sound like you are strong and handled thesituation when a person was not understanding of your pain.
