Aortic root aneurysm & Enlarged left ventricle
I was diagnosed with a 4.4 aortic root aneurysm in March of this year. I went back for follow up CT scan on October 4th. The aneurysm has grown to 4.6. But they also found I have an enlarged left ventricular. My Cardiologist has prescribed a new medication for the enlargement. Cardiologist said once my aneurysm gets to 5.0. They'll go in an repair both. Has anyone in this group been in my same situation. My heads kind of spinning right now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated right now!! Thanks!!

I had an enlarged left ventricle. PVCs of over 25 000 per day. I was on medications for years but it kept increasing. I had heart ablation and the ventricle remodelled after a number of years and it’s no longer dilated. I still have the Bicuspid Aortic Valve and the newly discovered 4.4 ascending aortic aneurysm though.😆 It’s my understanding, however, that the margin of error can be 3-4 mm even if the same expert using the same instrument at the same center ran the test. So, perhaps your aneurysm didn’t actually enlarge. Certainly worth asking the doctor about this possibility. It’s an journey of uncertainty but so is this life. Stay well. Stay positive.
