Anyone started myqorzo 5 mg? Experience please.

Posted by bbisno @bbisno, Apr 30 4:37pm

I am starting myqorzo soon - hope it helps with my symptom of fatigue . Staying on 125 mg Metropolol as my BP is well regulated. What has been your experience with myqorzo?
Thanks

I was on metapropol 100mg after my first TEE and the beginning of my heart work up. March 3. One of the dr put me on the 100 mg dose. May 20 I saw my cardiologist and mentioned the fatigue and how unusual it was for me to feel that way, even with Hashimoto's (low thyroid). It was only a few times but a very distinct fatigue. Not a sleepy or tired feeling. He said can be a side effect of metaprolol. He lowered my dose to 50 mg. As usual, DON'T do anything without talking to your cardiologist first! Disclaimer...lol.

I started myqorzo March 5 and so far so good except I don't know just how much relief I should be having. Today light yardwork on a 75 degree day got me winded.

I have been taking Aficamten 5 mg for a few weeks now. I’m less fatigued and can do many more things in a day than I could before. Also walked uphill yesterday for a short distance (just a few minutes) but didn’t have to stop to breathe. I’m hopeful!

@bbisno
I have just increased my dose of Aficamten from 5 mg (first month) to 10 mg (second month) and I have significantly more energy than I’ve had for the last five years.
Walked five miles yesterday instead of my normal two. So hopeful!

I am now taking 10 mg of Aficamten and I feel so much better. I have more energy to do things than I’ve had in five years! I walked 5 miles recently (my typical walk is 2 miles) and, tho I was tired, I was not exhausted the way I used to be. So far, so good!

I started Myqorzo 5mg. about 2 1/2 months ago. After my echocardiogram, my cardiologist increased it to 10 mg., the same mg amount I was taking on Camzyos. The reason I switched from Camzyos, was because Myqorzo, only requires 2 echocardiograms a year, vs. Camzyos, that required 4. That was quite an additional cost factor for me, even with Medicare and a supplemental insurance policy. No sooner, had I made that change, than Camzyos made the decision to require only 2 a year as well!! Interesting! An additional benefit of Myquorzo, is that they cover the cost of the echocardiograms! A win-win for those taking it. I did well on Camzyos, and so far it looks good for Myqorzo.

@bestseller2025 I am taking Myqorzo 10 mg, having been increased from 5 mg and never having taken cantos; my echo and blood tests results have improved significantly and next echo scheduled in 3 months after getting every month when started on Myqorzo; I still deal with fatigue and some shortness of breath but am improving. I am very encouraged.

@bbisno I just wanted to respond to your fatigue issue. I had anemia and I was put on meds; however, my body did not absorb them properly. My Dr. then sent to an oncologist where I have had two iron fusions, in the space oof about 14 months apart. If you haven't been tested for anemia, this could be the cause of your fatigue. I had long COVID, which also contributed to my fatigue issues. I am doing well now.
