Anybody have health anxiety, particularly around blood pressure?
I had very high blood pressure during pregnancy, to the point I was hospitalized for 8 days while they tried to get it under control. It wasn't preeclampsia, just diagnosed as gestational hypertension. I have been on medication for BP ever since, and my daughter will be 4 in March. I've suffered from anxiety ever since and have anti-anxiety medication... I stressed about every small pain that I felt! My blood pressure is good when I take it at home, but if I have to have my it taken at the Dr's it goes through the roof! Does anybody else have this type of problem and if so, do you have any solutions for getting a good reading at the Dr?

@eileenalana123 do not feel guilty about talking, it gets it out and not bottled up. that's important information on how you feel to what you feel. Could help with doctor diagnose and its better to talk, feel free to chat with me anytime you need to. i had a night with pain in my head and will bring it up to my daughters attention when she gets home, its new and twice now so needs addressed. as to you defiantly with the falls or hitting your head, get it looked at especally anything new going on. ill send a prayer for your recovery-------------sent. Yes, I've learned a lot from these accidents also.
More about how to deeply relax. Im going to start meditating at least 15 minutes day, because it was so helpful today when dealing with pain.
I have history of anxiety. I've read about how helpful meditation is, but I really learned how when I was in pain today from fall related problem.
Id like to hear more from you about the triggers. I appreciate this!
Oops! This was to another person, but I hope this is helpful to you also
@eileenalana123--- thank you for saying I've been a help. its a lot of what the last 2 years and a lifetime of getting hurt has taught me. triggers- three that i use regular 1st is breathing in thru the nose and blow it out slowly, like trying to slow your heart rate. 2nd is thinking of a happy place not just a picture but lead up to it in your memory like a replay of a first kiss each second leading up to it. visual replay in motion. 3rd is laying back and watching the clouds roll by or watch for shooting stars. all you need is a comfort position and a good memory or imagination. take your mind off the problem for 15 min. then start whatever you were doing with renewed faith. close out the noise just thinking or breathing to steady yourself.
worry stones are a great source of stress relief, flex ball or just learning to check for your own pulse without using your thumb. all while sitting waiting to be seen. once in the office pretty much do little things to look at in a different light, picture, plant or something other than 4 blank walls.
