After almost two years...I made it!
I can finally sleep the night with the BIPAP and added oxygen. I wanted to brag to those of you getting discouraged. I know it is an awful process for some of us. Others just put it on and ZAP it is all good. My testimonial is that it has all been worth it. I am back to my regular exercise program and my "fuzzy" brain is clearer. Thank you to all of you who encouraged those of us having a hard time of it to keep at it.

3 ReactionsDang! I'm almost in tears...and I'm a crusty ol' soldier!!
My hat is lifted WAAAAAYYY up of my white-haired head in respect. You could write a book to describe all it took, everything...to get you to this point, and that like any great undertaking that offered a huge prize at the end, it was all worth it.

2 ReactionsCouldn't have done it without you, Gloaming...you and your wisdom and brilliant use of the knowledge you gleaned and shared with me. I have often said that I didn't care about living longer. I just wanted to live better. And now I will.
Thanks,
Dana

3 ReactionsWhat is BIPAP?
This is awesome! Congratulations!
PAP is a breathing assistance device method meaning Positive Away Pressure. Bi means two types of pressure. One pressure (higher) on inhale - to push air towards lungs, and a lower pressure (near or at zero) when a person exhales.

1 ReactionThanks! I kept at it though I thought I would never get a good nights sleep, but I could tell changes in my body from the extra oxigen.
@mmwagner46 It uses two pressures instead of one continuous one. Moved to it after almost a year on CPAP and after another sleep test wearing the CPAP
