ACL reconstruction and Meniscus repair
19 months post op and I may look to have scar tissue removed? my lack of extension has made it difficult to adequately strengthen my quad muscles. I can get my leg fairly straight after doing calf and leg stretches and a leg hang which helps me to walk right, but within an hour it always reverts back to not being straight (lacking like 10 degrees).

Hello @lukeav,
I apologize for the delay in my response. First, welcome to Connect. Second, I'd like to invite @rjmurray41, @dawn_giacabazi, and @mnpat to share their experiences with ACL injuries.
I had my knee replaced and struggled with extension and flexion and it was directly related to scar tissue. It took two additional procedures called, manipulations, and excessive activity to finally get my knee to loosen up. It sounds like scar tissue may be your enemy as well, although I am not a medical professional and cannot diagnose. Have you spoke with your surgeon about this issue? If so, has scar tissue removal been recommended?
Hi Justin. My ACL was redone about 14 years ago. My knee was replaced October 19th. I am now starting to sleep at night. i went to PT after 6 weeks of little progress and I'm at 2-128. I still don't feel real good about the TKR, but I'm hoping it continues to strengthen and hurt less. I was facing a manipulation, but the PT really made the difference.
