71-year old female stress test results showed PFO

I am a 71-year-old female. My recent stress test showed I had PFO but when Doctor sent the results to me, he stated the result was normal/negative. No mention of the PFO.
I have had other stress tests and the PFO was never mentioned. But this time they used the saline bubbles as part of the test. Should I do a follow up with the Doctor?

You HAVE PFO, and what that means, or could/should mean, for you is something for you to decide. Personally, I like to know about as much as I can over my body and its defects or disorders. I would want to know what the upshot is of this condition. Apparently you have not been adversely affected given your years of life...so far...but it might be worth an inquiry. Up to you, though....

What is PFO?

I'm sorry I should have explained. It is patent foramen ovale. Patent foramen ovale is a small flap-like opening in the upper right and left chambers of the heart, which does not close at birth. It leads to the flow of blood between the atrium.
