Has anyone experienced UTIs and changes in periods while on Zepbound?

I recently turned 44 years old. For almost 9 months I have been on a Zepbound compound injection to lose weight. Though I am thrilled with the weight I have lost (55 pounds) I have experienced some odd changes in my overall health.
Just a couple of months after starting the injection I noticed a change in my vaginal PH balance. Something I have never had to deal with in the past. I did reach out to the doctor that prescribed my injection. I was told this was not a side effect from this medication.
11 years ago I had a Uterine Ablation with only very little spotting along the way. A month ago I started my period back as tho the ablation was never done. 7 days on and the full PMS to tag along, I felt like a teenager again. Now a month out, and just like clockwork I have started again on schedule. A month ago right before started I had a UTI, which is uncommon for me. It’s been years since I experienced one. Right before starting my period this time I had yet another UTI. Both lasting 7 days. Followed by a 7 day period.
I have delt with the nausea and upset stomach throughout taking my injections with not many more side effects. Though the nausea alone was the worst part. I have noticed some hair thinning but I thought maybe an age thing.
My concern and question is could this medicine affect my period? Has anyone else experienced such changes? Or could this be coming up now simply due to my age?

I don’t know if is effecting your period but the hair thinning is due to the significant wt loss. I have UTI , which unusual for me , but I never thought was from Zepbound — I will find out . The nausea I can relate to.

Welcome to Mayo Connect. I have no direct experience with Zepbound, but I did some research. One thing I found is that even though Zepbound does not directly cause menstrual irregularities according to FDA labeling, significant weight loss can cause metabolic and hormonal shifts, which may indirectly affect menstrual cycles in some patients.

Have you considered making an appointment with a gynecologist to discuss the changes in your period?
