Just adding to the 5.o vs. 5.5 cm discussion. I too struggle with it because I will require an ascending aortic graft amd aortic valve replacement. I also have several other risk factors so my cardiologist seconded the opinion that the surgery is not without significant brain risks and recommended I hold off till it's 5.5cm. I hope this helps.
