Prayer Request
Two + months out I’m in rejection and I have been for a few weeks now. I went to Pittsburgh Thursday and they done an MRCP, CT and a liver biopsy. The MRCP and CT looked good all but some fluid around the liver. Had to go back Friday to get the results from the liver biopsy and it confirmed I was in rejection🥲They have given me a mega dose of steriods and changed my anti-rejection medication. I go back tomorrow and if my liver enzymes haven’t went down then it will be a hospital stay and I am so sick of hospitals😞. I know GOD and Prayers have got me through all this and I know for the past 6 years I have asked ALOT for prayers but here I am again asking for your prayers. God Bless and Much Love🙏❤️

Hi @chickytina 😊
I didn't know you had a few early rejection episodes.
Which lab tests notified your doctor of early rejection and what did the team do to prevent rejection?
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I find it comforting that your team was able to successfully navigate the situation!
@melissa0919 I am so happy to read your latest update!! ❤
Please keep us posted on your progress.... Sending love and big hugs!
My bloodwork was red flagged . All Enzymes were really high. They done liver biopsy and it showed I was in T cell rejection. They gave me a mega dose of steriods intravenously and changed my anti-rejection medication and put me on a tapper down of steroids as well. My enzymes are still high but they are trending down.
They were able to determine I had the beginnings of rejection between the x-rays and blood work. They had me do extreme dosage of steroids. Two times I was able to go in to have 250 mg given intravenously and then the other time, due to being over the weekend (transfusion lab is closed on Sunday), I did a combination of the transfusion and high dosage tapering down to the regular dosage via tablet. It wasn't a big deal to me though. I had no physical symptoms and the people are all nice. If you need something to eat or drink, they have sandwiches and soda or water there.
Hi @chickytina and @melissa0919
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with rejection! As transplant patients, we are always on high alert and scared to death of the "r" word...rejection. I am comforted to hear your successful treatments and experiences with rejection. This discussion went from very scary to hopeful and confident that our transplant teams know how to successfully navigate signs of rejection when necessary. Thank you for that gift of calm and confidence that you are both are doing well. (Also, thank you @chickytina for the heads up about the sandwiches!)
Prayers to you! I know that alarming and anxious feeling… let the doctors do their magic and God will take care of the rest💗 hugs to you!
@melissa0919, it has been a couple of weeks since you sent an update on your condition. I hope that you were able to enjoy some of the holidays.
Has there been an improvement in your liver enzyme labs? Are you still going thru a change in medications? How do you feel?
@rosemarya I had a wonderful Christmas with both of my boys. I had labs done Tuesday and my enzymes are still elevated but coming down nicely. Thank you for asking. I hope you had a good Christmas as well.
Please pray for my emotional health to heal. I have been on and off psych meds for many years. They never seem to help me. I suffer from anxiety, depression and insomnia. I have tried everything to feel "normal" even "natural" remedies that caused me to have a major meltdown. Please pray for me to heal in Jesus name, Amen.
Melissa there is no such thing as asking for too many prayers. AS I speak I am lifting you up. Remember the Footprints Prayer. Right?? Get a copy off the net and read read read it dear. GOD is good He didn’t drag you out of the river to let you drown on the bank. God’s speed Melissa. Also my daughter’s name. Diane.
