Well, RX insurance does not cover it YET. But they will. It is a safe pleasant way to deal with constant pain. No doctor will discuss with you. If they do, it will be negative. Think about the drug companies who probably pay the doctors for using their drugs. I am sure it is the reason why some states have not allowed the sale of Pot. I used it for about 4 years while I lived in Oregon. I was shocked when I found it is NOT for sale in Texas... Of course who knows where the lawmakers get theirs......
@jimhd Bummer. Thanks for letting us know. Sun with weather that has almost reached my age. Still struggling with pain and depression. Thing is we still are trying.
@hopeful33250 Next time I see the pain specialist I am going to ask about this as I am in need of help on several levels.
@cognac I am a Volunteer Mentor and as such, I am not a medical professional and can only offer you my experience and support.
I have used CBD oil and it works for me. I had to use 6 pumps under my tongue to have an effect. The bottle said use 3 squits (pumps) to start as 1 dose of 2 mg. I had read that it could take up to 8 mg for effect, so I started at 3 and worked up to 8 mg. I felt best at 6 mg so I went back down. We are all different, so what works for me may not work for you.
If you have oil that is mostly THC the effects are greater with much less. They both take up to 2 or 3 hours to take effect. For me it took 1 hr. I prefer the CBD for anxiety and the mixture of mostly THC for pain relief. You will feel somewhat high with the THC oil. Depending on the amount you use. I use. 30 ml. dropper.
I hope this is helpful for you.

@oregongirl, cognac, I have posted this somewhere else, but I will again. The FDA just this week approved a drug containing CBD oil for the treatment of epilepsy. That pretty well takes the lid off the proverbial basket. For the sale of this medication to occur, the DEA will have to change the schedule 1 classification or cannabis (dangerous, no scientific benefit as a therapy). So...the lie will end and all manufacturers will beat down the FDA's doors with new drugs that contain some portion of the cannabis plant and those of us with chronic pain may finally be able to get something other than opiates for our pain.
Gyman.. oh I pray so. One Dr diagnosed me for elipepdy. But all other Drs said no. Texas must have some drug manufactures on their board. I know there is a drug at the pharmacy already. Not full on Pot. But doctor won't do it. I remember how hard we worked to get Pit legal in Oregon. We had people with every possible medical issue buying from dealers they could find. When it passed, I am sure pharmacy are financially hurting. The seniors in Oregon were first bto use it. Wake up Texas
@parus Good idea. I look forward to hearing what he/she says.
I hope that you are feeling better with some sunshine.

Gail, thank you so much for responding. I'm not sure oil with THC can be sold in Virginia, but I will do the research. Thank you again.
@cognac If you can't get the HTC oil, try the CBD and don't be afraid to use the 8 MG dose. It's very mild, and may work better for you at that dose. Just to let you know, I am 69 yrs old, 5'6", and weigh 157 lbs. I am super sensitive to THC.
Wake up everyone and before you do anything else smoke some really strong pot and see what it does for you. I don't know about any of these other products and I don't know if pot eases other people's pain. My drug contract keeps me away from it and oh yea, I do have just one lung so smoking msy not be the best way to go. I'd love to go to Colorado and try some edibles perhaps. they actually classify marijuana in the same group of illegal drugs as heroin. What a joke. It's the culture wars still going on from the 60s. The guys who fund the four Martini lunch want to make sure that you don't have the one joint dinner.
