It there any solution for constant tinnitis?

I have high pitched tones constantly though I have learned to ignore it mostly.

It can become louder at times, even loud enough to make me wince!

I have tinnitus constantly. Recently I realised when I pushed my bottom jaw forward the noise became increasingly louder, really loud. It makes me thing it’s something to do with the nerves and when I move my jaw it changes the pressure on the nerves??

@tykissy in my experience tinnitus is constant, but the volume of it fluctuates. I have been told it is caused by the brain but I also notice a correlation with ear pain and even congestion.

I was diagnosed with tinnitus over 50 years ago. It has never gone away and at times was very aggravating. While going to college and grad school, I noticed I could study and concentrate much better if I had some light classical music playing in the background. The music seemed to cover the ringing and provide just enough distraction that I could study. French horns, woodwinds, and piano instrumentation seem to work best for me. As I sit here writing this I am still listening to some soft classical music while reading. Thanks to mikepa and Julie for some info on research. I will look into this.

Hi, I wear a hearing aid in my left only and that is great for controlling the noise. I watch TV with the hearing aid in, it is paired to my TV ( or any device you have ) I find it good. It would work with any type of ear device. The classical music is a nice idea too. 🌻
