He's driving me away from wanting to take care of him
It's been a day, and unfortunately it's not over yet. He's been arguing with the television every since he got up (working on 7 hours now). Then, if I walk into the room or he knows I'm within earshot the belching and farting ensues. IT NEVER STOPS! Please someone explain to me what this is about? I've removed myself to the upstairs again, not there's not plenty I could be doing on the main level, but the continuous barrage of belching, farting, repeating same over and over has frazzled my nerves. I'm absolutely sick of hearing it. I want to be far away from him OR him far away from me. Beyond the arguing with the television, belching and farting is "Hey ______" at least a couple hundred times already and asking the same questions over and over. One of you told me awhile back about BREATHE! I'm doing that today and thank you for sharing that piece of advice, it's keeper. Has anyone else dealt with this onslaught....feels like I'm being attacked or being driven away. Advice on how to handle???

He needs some antispychosis medication. CBD oil won't work for his problem. He has dementia.
anotherday, have you spoken to his doctor about his behaviors? There are medications that can often help with these behaviors. Has he seen a neurologist? Perhaps his primary care doctor can refer him to a geriatric psychiatrist. I wish you the best. It’s a terrible situation to have to endure.
His next doctor appointment is mid November. He's been refusing any further testing. This is why I'm desperate for something natural. He's successfully avoided a diagnosis so far. What do I do? The doctor is on to him, has tried to line up various tests and visits with specialists. Husband adamantly refuses all. I believe the term is "anasognosia." He really doesn't think he has anything wrong happening.
My husband was diagnosed with lbd and he mow says he does not have lbd. He has no symptoms. Now he got driving restriction of 50 miles and he is furious as he is a “perfect” driver. We have a courage kenny driving appt nov 8. I dont know what s see will happen there.
There comes a point where you just have to work with the info you have. My hubs was officially diagnosed with LBD 3+ years ago. He had a comprehensive neuro-psych eval. He has an excellent care team & is on several meds. He stopped driving about 18 months ago. And yet most days he STILL believes he ok, much better, back to normal. And he can’t understand why he can’t start driving again. I think the extreme fluctuations in some types of dementia perpetuate the continued denial.
