Continued Post-Nasal Drip and Constant Mucus in Throat
I was sick the last week or January/first week of February. Home Test-negative, rapid PCR-negative. All COVID symptoms and known prolonged exposure to infected individuals make me believe it was COVID. Since then, I have had a tremendously hard time dealing with post-nasal drip and mucus collecting in my throat. It is clear, sticky and almost impossible to remove from throat by coughing or clearing my throat. Flonase does nothing, allergy pills do nothing. Had anyone else had an issue like this post COVID? How long did it last? What did you do to cope? Small problem in comparison to others that post here, I realize.

Same for me. Have taken all kinds of nasal sprays, allergy pills and acid reflux med. I’m going to try singulair. My gp seems to think that should help if nothing else has worked. Good luck to you
what kind of mullein drops do you use. There are so many: tincture, lung clearance, leaf extract, etc. Thanks
Yes, there are many choices. I prefer a tincture. I have used these two - photo attached. I recently began purchasing from a local supplement store that has their store label because they source their mullein from an organic grower in New Mexico.
Thank you so much. I have been using the XClear and it seems to work. I don't use it every day but found that I need to start using it more often. Will try both. We all really need help. It so ugly to have this. But you know, sometimes I wonder if it was due to the virus or the vaccine???
Or a combination!?
I do have allergies and COPD. Since COVID my breathing is worse, fatigue is awful, I continue to pretty much constantly have a stuffy or stopped up nose but it also runs like a faucet most of the time. I was told I had Post Covid Syndrome. Before and after that diagnosis I had numerous steroid shots, allergy meds and a change in daily inhaler due to also being diagnosed with asthma. That's all I've had done as far as from a medical standpoint. My NP has also moved. I haven't seen anyone else and don't know if there's anyone where I live who knows much about treating this. I continue to use nose spray which helps sometimes but shortlived. I began putting vaporub under my ears, on neck and under nose while having COVID and still do it often. My ears itch terribly inside and my NP would tell me they were full or had a lot of pressure. I feel like I'm talking pretty loudly but constantly asked to repeat myself because people can't hear me. My lymph nodes in my neck stay swollen and very tender. Sometimes I take Benadryl. I lost taste/smell but they came back. Several months ago I couldn't smell again... except sometimes I"smell" things that nobody else does....scents like air freshener, something burning, cigarette smoke and most recently tobacco spit. I wish I had some answers I could share but I got nothing. I'm tired. I hope you can find some helpful answers
I live in New Mexico, where is this grower and where can I get them?
mullein tea is good too, i do that in the evening...
I only use XClear now but sometimes I forget to use it. For instance, the night before I had a hard time sleeping, had not taken it in days. I took it yesterday, sprayed in am and then in pm. I had only about 1/4 of the phlegm I had the night before. But now I am going to start taking it along with the mullein drops I just ordered.
My MD, pulmonologist, just started me on Mucinex. Will see if it works. He said inhalers will just dry it & make it harder to cough out. It’s small, thick & very hard to get out. Apparently Covid caused bronchiectasis.
