What's outside of your picture window today?

Posted by John, Volunteer Mentor @johnbishop, Nov 25, 2020

As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?

For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

@johnbishop

Not sure unless it’s the part of the leg under the feathers. It was a little breezy.

My thanks, John; when I enlarged the image...it aroused my curiosity. Terrific images and a very interesting window, indeed.💞

Outside my picture window is the neighbor's house across our street. They went away camping for 9 days and we volunteered to water the plants. Oh! my goodness. She loves to garden, and says she is a farmer at heart. She spends an awful lot of time in the garden, and a lot of money on tools, soil, and monthly water bills. It took 2 of us almost an hour together watering front and back today. Her veggie garden is growing, and tomorrow we will harvest some brocholi [sp?]. Trying to save the plants from dying on our watch ;))

Went for my daily walk at the creek very close to my condo. A crow flew by right as I was taking a scenic shot. Cottontail rabbit taken with my iPhone and zoomed in so not crisp. We've had lots of ducklings the past couple months. This mom had 11! Yesterday I watched a snowy egret wading in the creek, kicking its yellow feet back and forth to stir up the little fish. Lots of bird sounds in the background. Squirrels, coyotes, turtles -- you name it. Beautiful flowers and trees. So peaceful!

@californiazebra, @johnbishop, @grammy82, @gingerw and all...What wonderful pictures of beautiful creatures and lovely landscaping. I love all your photos, and John, your cardinals and oriole are great! I've enjoyed them all so much. Thanks for sharing.
I've been out of pocket for several weeks again with my son and my own health, but keep thinking of you friends. I'll send some new feathered friend photos soon. It takes a lot out of me to keep the feeders clean and fed, but doing pretty well.
Blessings all.

@loribmt
Gorgeous photos and I appreciate them very much. Although I’m not up to speed on the first one but it may be best that way.
Thank you Lori, you made an old man happy.
