Grover's Disease tied to Shinglix Vaccine
A member of the Grover's Disease, GD, discussion questioned if he could have acquired GD from his Shingles Vaccine as he began having GD symptoms after the shot. It made me realize my last outbreak began 3 days after my Shinglix vaccine shot. I read nothing about this on the literature for this shot I studied on the internet. I saw my dermatologist yesterday to ask if there was a tie in and he said, "Yes, 100% this vaccine can initiate or cause GD symptoms to return". For those not familiar with GD look it up. It is an intensely itching and painful torso rash that comes and goes for life. The collagen in the skin is changed. I can't believe Shingles is any more miserable. I so wished I had checked with my dermatologist first. Presently a prescription is not needed for this shot and can be given at any pharmacy which has it in stock. I also did not read anything on all the pages I signed warning me that it could trigger this disease before I got this shot at Sam's Club. My dermatologist is Jonathan Bellew, DO of the Mohave Skin and Cancer Center in Arizona and Nevada.

Try Cilantro & Chlorella supplements
Took Cilantro capsules for 30 days and chlorella for one week less with no obvious improvement. Had to wait four days after the 30 days but kept using the chlorella. Now taking both again for the last few days. Still no improvement. Will tough it out for 90 days before reconsidering.
I advise you use the fresh Cilantro instead of the pills. If not try the oil. I have been using ice packs on the areas that itch. Very effective.
Can't stand the taste of cilantro. Can't eat Mexican food if it's mixed into the food. Wife is the same way. We are missing the cilantro gene. I'm also on the Facebook group for GD. Not everything works for everybody. Many use cilantro in one form or another and have success. Others also have no relief. I'll give it 90 days.
I have found that pineapple is the fruit that masks the taste of cilantro.
Unfortunately, I used fresh cilantro and chlorella powder in my morning for six months without seeing any improvement in my Grover's symptoms. It doesn't work for everyone.
I hope those that stopped blogging find it irrelevant because they are not breaking out from GD and seaching for answers. I only check in on this site to share about cilantro because it does work for some of us for which nothing else did.
Yes will try the ice if I need it, any relief from the itching would be merciful.
I agree, and do hope that lots of people no longer have to deal with GD. I leave the ice on for up to 10 minutes. It seems to numb the area and lasts for quite a while. I also got my new bottle of Cilantro oil and a new jar of Cera Ve Itch relief cream which also seems pretty effective.
I don’t have the patience or care to drink smoothies with cilantro but I did try the capsules and made sure I waited at least three weeks to see results. At around three weeks my itching got better ( got my rash under control with prescription steroid creme but can only use it sparingly) my itching was extreme especially at bedtime so I was encouraged and kept taking the capsules. It’s been 5 month and I’d say at least 80% improvement 🙏
I too got gd after the shingles vaccine and have tried everything under the sun except the cilantro smoothie. I will definitely try it it’s been almost two years now and doesn’t let up much
