Phlegm in my throat and post nasal drip after Covid
Ever since I had covid in January of 2022 I recovered from the virus but I was left with a constant phlegm in the back of my throat and post nasal drip that will not go away. The feeling of having mucus in the back of my throat actually gets worse when I try to get rid of it by coughing. I have been given steroid inhalers, albuterol, allergy medication, but none of these work. The mucus gets worse especially after I eat. I've never felt like this before and it all started after covid. Can anybody relate to what I am going through?

I don’t know about that one specifically but I found this one on Amazon/$9.99, ordered it and hope it works!
Thank you so much.
You described what I'm doing also...it has helped me... I'm over 3yrs having long covid...
I'm doing the packets in my navage along with the bud..,.that mayo prescribed me..
My husband and I had Covid Feb2020. Very sick 3wks then done. Taste&smell have never returned, the fatigue &brain fog started Christmas 2020 and still an issue.
I had covid in March 2023. All that remains in phlegm and mucous. It is getting better. I just blow after I eat and sinuses get stuffy and nose runs. Hope it stops. Also I have swelling in hands. Doc wants me on Embrel but I cannot afford the high cost. I get SS and have a savings account but savings account will be depleted with 7000+ a month in Embrel cost. I am devastated because once my savings is gone SS is all I get and it is not enough to pay for specialty Embrel. Yikes!
I know what you're going through....it sucks
evar1989, thank you for the xylitol recommendation. I had previously tried two other ones that did nothing. I constantly had a lot of the thick nasty phlegm for over 3 months, especially while trying to sleep. I took your advice about the xylitol, but ordered nasal spray with xylitol from amazon. Have been using for 4 days, 2 x day, day and night, and now only have about 1/3 of the phlegm. It' called Xlear. I feel so much better.
Clarifying, I tried two other nasal sprays without xylitol first.
I’ve been following this discussion for a long time but I haven’t seen any recent posts. I’m wondering if everyone’s symptoms have resolved or if they’re just being managed.
I for one seem to being better. The first 3-4 months were torturous. I am now at 10 months and doing better but unfortunately resigning to live with the dryness and sticky phlegm and still hoping it goes away entirely. Has anyone found total relief yet? I hate to see the discussion end because I still hope there’s a real finding and treatment for this!
