@1ellent, curiosity, have you just been on CBD/THC without taking any AED to control your seizures?
Thank you and have a nice evening

Hi, I was diagnosed with complex partial seizures approximately 15 years ago after spending a week at UCLA’S Sleep Study Dept. The neurological team ended up putting me on Zonisamide capsules and Klonopin. It’s worked great for me.

Oh I do take my seizure drugs also. Not a high level I am told. I have friends who have been on triple the dosage of AEDs that do not use THC and still have seizures. I have not had 1 since 2009. After Gammaknife.

I take 600 mg of Trileptal and 4oo mg of Lamictal. Many people need more then one meditation to control seizures without serious side effects. It took years to find the correct mix for me.

Avoid antidepressants and CBD if at all possible. I found out the hard way they can counteract seizure meds.

Take all meds timely, I was hospitalized overnight for an unrelated issue, it was the weekend and the hospital wasn't able to get the approval for my seizure drugs. Nurses treated me like a drug addict when I insisted on getting my seizures drugs, it led to a break through seizure the the night I got home. I now carry written instructions from my doctor.

There may be a way to control your pain. without side effects. I take vitamin B injections for nerve and muscle pain, vitamin B doesn't make the pain go away, it makes it tolerable without side effects. My vitamin B levels were low normal, the injections often raise my vitamin B levels high, however, I'm told that won't hurt me.

Your pain may be from seizure meds. I have pain in my feet and legs caused by neuropathy. Severve pain that can last for hours, it can be in the form of "statin type" muscle cramps or deep pain that feels as if my bones are being crushed.

Gabapentin helped but made me sleep 12 hours.

My doctor says same thing. I have taken Kepra for 14 yrs. I don’t think I need it any more. Haven’t had a passing out episode in 13 yrs. I read it can cause memory loss . Thoughts anyone

Most seizure meds cause memory issues. You may be like me and not have seizures as long as you take your medicine. Some doctors recommend stopping your seizure medication if you haven’t had a seizure in 3 to 5 years and your MRI, EEG and neurological exam are all normal. Even if my new neurologist suggests stopping my meds I won't since I've never had a normal MRI or EEG. Also I have a long history of Status Epilepticus and won't chance stopping my medications.
Good luck whatever you decide to do.
Take care,
Jake
