Has anyone experienced buzzing feeling in their head when they lie down (especialy at night? I have had long Covid 16 months and this is a new synonym for me.

This may be an 'out there' comment, but have you had a hearing test? Sometimes, especially at night, you can have a 'buzzing something' I had a 'funny something' just as my hearing began to wain. I was told that this is often more noticeable at night, when other noises are no longer 'drowning out' this sensation.--- would be good to find something not related to your on-going battle... and fixable!
All the best to you.

I have had tinnitus since the beginning, Oct 2021. It increases with anxiety, otherwise it is there. I use background noise, radio and TV during the day. Sleep noise at night, like rain or brown, pink noise. I use Spotify. Good luck I wish you well.

I thought tinnitus was just a ringing noise. Thanks for the input.

I had it when I first had Covid. The first couple of days felt like I was having electricity zapped from inside my ear to the other side, or at times like a bumblebee flying through my head.

I’ve had a rumbling, vibrating sensation/noise in my head since developing long Covid about 2 months after my initial infection, 3/27/22. A subsequent infection in February of this year has exacerbated my long Covid symptoms, including ones of my head. Sometimes, and this is since my second round, words come out of my mouth jumbled and sometimes the exact opposite of what I’ve meant to say. Unnerving to say the least. Best of luck to all.

I’ve had tinnitus for many years, it’s an intolerable condition and can drive you to distraction. I noticed after having covid the tinnitus changed in sound and the flair ups were becoming a bit less frequent. Tinnitus is truly a maddening ailment with no known cures and I found by accident that running water helps..I was so grateful because I had a break from the noise but unfortunately I have to stand in the kitchen to hear the water..I must say it’s interfering with watching television lol oh well we can’t have everything going our way, too bad 😊

YES! when I was actually sick with Covid, I had a loud heart beat sound in my ears/head while laying down and about every minute I lost my hearing completely for about five seconds. Now since post Covid, I have a constant ringing in my ears, last night it actually woke me up, but it was a extremely loud hissing sound, and I have had a jackhammer sound before also but it’s mostly ringing. It’s very noticeable and loud while laying down or under stress. At times I lose my hearing the same as before for about five seconds about every minute, but I don’t lose it completely unlike when I had Covid… It just gets faint instead of completely deaf . This has been going on since February. I’m beginning to think it’s never going to go away. 😩
