Yes it did. I started taking Areds2 is per instructions and by day 3, I had the worst stomach ache and lost my appetite. It took 5 days for my stomach to return to normal. I did not online taking Areds2. I do eat a lot of spinach and green veggies plus balanced meals. I wear sunglasses and a hat when the suns out.

I was just diagnosed with AMD too. My retinal specialist thinks
The areds will help and says he can zap blood vessels under the macula. I am 76 so age related problems are expected. AMD is usually slow growing so I am trying not to panic. I have 20/20 vision right now so I am hopeful. There is a lot they can do for AMD.

Take a deep breath, relax and take your diagnosis in stride. Keep your appointments with your retina specialist, take the suggested meds and you will be fine. Thankfully the injections, while not the most pleasant experience are not terrible, and they do help. My condition in both eyes has stabilized after treatments for over 15 years. I fully realize that it may change however so I see my doctor regularly. Night vision is not good, but I see daytime just fine. I am 87 years old. Be well, life is good

I was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration a year ago at age 62. I was very upset but determined to do what I can to slow the progression. After my last eye doc appointment I learned that my disease is stable from when I was diagnosed last year. I did tell my doctor that I was really anxious about losing my vision; she listened and told me that it was perfectly understandable to worry. Her kindness helped me regain some positivity and confidence that the disease can be managed. Best to you on your journey.

I have been diagnosed with it in my right eye, and my doctor wants to start shots. I am reluctant as it seems to be slow growing in the comments.

Members like @mreenrose @decabea @newyorknill and @annemcilvaine have shared some about their diagnosis and may be able to come back in and share with you too.

Can I confirm why you are reluctant so that I may best help connect you with others?

The injections are critically important with wet AMD to avoid sudden hemorrhage from the abnormal leaky small blood vessels. The leaking of fluid and blood can cause permanent severe vision loss. You should follow your doctor's advice and not wait to have the injection.

Hi, sorry there must be a misunderstanding I have dry AMD. Our injection is also used for dry AMD?
