Irritated and itchy skin with no rash
Has anyone experienced itchy skin in one area that travels to another area in a line. I thought it might be shingles. There is great pain inside my body’s underarm. A swab sample was taken in the ER. The test turned out negative for shingles. This condition started about 3 week after my positive test for COVID. My Dr ordered a script for neurontin which has calmed the pain. I have had this condition for at least 5 weeks.

I too have this problem. I have had Covid twice, first time in July 2020. Both times, my symptoms were mild, but it’s the lasting effects that have tormented me. I periodically get itchy rashes on my body and now I’m allergic to things I was never allergic to before…poison oak, being one of them. I’m allergic to bug bites now (mosquito) and have had to get IM Decahedron, along Oral Prednisone twice. It’s the strangest thing. I also have horrible neuropathy in my feet (had Covid toes) and Raynaud's, now. My immune system is also in attack mode. So frustrating.
i also have neuropathy in my feet, toes are numb on left foot and toes get painful at times, the pain comes and goes, never had this either before covid...
My rash started 11 months into long Covid and I’ve had it for a month now. Teeny pimply rash with itchy flare ups. Just as I thought I was turning the corner. Now I have covid again and I hope the long covid symptoms aren’t worsened by it. Time will tell, I guess.
Try to use prebiotic daily.
Where is your rash?
Sounds like maybe Hansons disease. Have you seen a dermatologist?
No, not yet. Will look into it, thank you.
Seriously doubt it’s Hansen’s disease, but thank you for your reply.
I know it's a long shot but we are all looking for answers to these crazy symptoms
I understand. Crazy indeed.
Thanks for your reply. In the middle of Covid round 2. Will be interesting to see what happens next. Good luck to you as well.
